POMONA, CA (November 8, 2016)-After a successful Kalitta Motorsports debut in Las Vegas two weeks ago, Paul Lee is ready to upset championship contenders this weekend at the Auto Club Finals. Lee posted three career best records in Las Vegas and hopes that Todd Smith and the McLeod Racing crew can continue their upswing.

Paul Lee, owner of McLeod Racing, is becoming a prominent threat to the Nitro Funny Car class in such a short time. Lee broke his personal bests with a 3.96 at 329 mph in round 1 of eliminations. The Toyota Nationals were a test weekend for the McLeod team.

“Las Vegas was our first event together as a team with Kalitta Motorsports,” says Paul Lee, veteran Funny Car pilot. “If last weekend was an indicator of how well this team is going to work together, then I see no problems coming into Pomona. Vegas acted like a test run for us and now we are ready to lay down some good numbers and to upset some Championship contenders on Sunday.”

Lee and the McLeod Racing crew made consistent 3.90s in 3 of 5 runs down the track in Las Vegas. The crew is molding together to become a Championship car in the 2017.

This weekend, Justin’s Performance Center is the McLeod Racing’s Dealer of the Race. Throughout the weekend until Monday (11/21) customers will receive a 20% discount off all McLeod products when purchased through Justin’s Performance Center website (jpcracing.com).
